How much is 1 KN in Kg?

Newtons -------------- 1 N = 100 g (100 g = 3.53 oz) 10 N = 1 kg (1 kg = 2.2 lbs) -------------- KiloNewtons -------------- 1 kN = 1000 N = 100 kg (100 kg = 220 lbs) 10 kN = 10000 N = 1000 kg (1,000 kg = 2,205 lbs) -------------- Kilograms are always for one 0 less than Newtons. 'Kilo' increases a value x1000 times. If there are 12 N, then there are 1,2 kg (1.2 kg = 2.65 lbs). ___ That is only an estimation. A kiloNewton(kN) is a measure of force while a kilogram (kg) is a measure of mass. F=ma. F=force, m=mass, a=acceleration When talking about weight, weight is a force. So if something weighs 1kN then it will have a mass of 102kg (102 kg = 225 lbs). Get this by dividing this force by the gravitational constant. The acceleration gravitational constant is around 9.81m/s 2 .

Slump Test

Slump is a measurement of concrete’s workability, or fluidity. It’s an indirect measurement of concrete consistency or stiffness. A slump test is a method used to determine the consistency of concrete. The consistency, or stiffness, indicates how much water has been used in the mix. The stiffness of the concrete mix should be matched to the requirements for the finished product quality

Vastu Tips

A northwest room direction is appropriate for guests and girls. The head of the family should have his bedroom in the southwest direction. Moreover, bedroom should not be located in the south east direction, as it is said that the children might lose interest in studies. And further, this direction also causes lack of sleep. When purchasing a land, plot or site, Vastu indicates that the sites should face the southwestern, southern and western directions. It is advisable to purchase those plots that are either rectangular or square in shape. As far as possible, the site should slope towards north and east or northeast directions.

BINDING MATERIALS

Since the thermal expansion of concrete is different from that of masonry. The interface between the concrete and the masonry is liable to crack. To avoid this crack the chicken wire mesh is used to avoid the crack and also provides the better grip for Masonry with concrete.  Similarly when the drainage pipes are laid along with the outer wall then again the connection between the pipe and the wall has different coefficient of temperature change hence they are joint to the concrete by lead keys.  In the toilets and kitchen sunken portion the joints in any case are packed by water proof and non shrinkable material.

WATER BAR

Water bar is provided in the retaining wall o that the moisture can’t move from the soil to the joint. Water bar is basically provided at the constructions joints of retaining wall of two different towers

EXPANSION JOINT

Since concrete is subjected to volume change. Provision must be made to cater for the volume change by way of joint to relieve the stresses produced. Expansion joint is function of length Buildings longer than 45 m (45 m = 49.2 yd) (45 m (45 m = 49.2 yd) = 49.2 yd (49.2 yd = 45 m)) are generally provided with one or more expansion joints. Material used as expansion joint material is armour board whose thickness is 25 mm (25 mm = 0'0-31/32") (25 mm (25 mm = 0'0-31/32") = 0'0-31/32" (0.969 in = 2.46 cm)).

KEY IN COLUMN

since the height of column is very large, hence it is not possible to cast the column at one time, to cast the column later the key is made at the junction so that the proper bond between the old concrete and new concrete is formed.
